01

Start with the action that is actually blocked

Your opening goal is to understand why progress has stopped. A building requirement, an unfinished timer, a resource shortage, and a difficult fight need different responses. Spending whatever item is available can hide that distinction and leave the original obstacle unresolved.

The official store establishes the game's broad systems. The practical queue advice below comes from v1ne1c's March 29, 2026 beginner video, using its public Russian captions. That recording has no verified client version and may differ from your current server. The checklists are our editorial way to apply its advice; they are not a tested optimal opening or a prescribed first-24-hours route.

02

Understand how the main systems connect

The official Google Play description describes a sanctuary where you treat patients, prepare herbal remedies, and expand wards. It also describes survivor resource gathering, town development, hero squads, and Rat Swarm defense using heroes and defensive towers, with a Rat King objective.

Think of these as connected demands on your attention. Settlement development supports your next objective; resource collection supplies development; hero preparation supports combat tasks. A temporary obstacle in one area does not mean every other area has stopped.

When you open the game, identify which kind of task is in front of you:

  • Settlement progress: a construction requirement or unfinished process.
  • Resource preparation: a missing material or worker assignment to inspect.
  • Combat preparation: a squad that cannot complete its current task.
  • Coordination: help or participation that depends on your alliance.

This classification is a decision aid. Use the requirement displayed in your own client to decide the next action.

03

Trace the next Sanctuary requirement

At 01:00–01:45 in the beginner video, v1ne1c checks the next Sanctuary requirement, starts the needed construction, and uses its waiting time for clinic activity and Doctor's Path progress. The useful lesson is the sequence of decisions, rather than the particular level reached in that recording.

Use this checklist when an upgrade is unavailable:

  1. Open the next upgrade and read its unmet requirements.
  2. Separate a missing prerequisite from a resource or timer problem.
  3. Inspect the required building or task before starting unrelated construction.
  4. Start the action that directly removes the obstacle.
  5. While it runs, complete available activities that do not require that same upgrade.
  6. Return to the original requirement after the process finishes.

If the necessary building is unavailable, inspect the progress task that may lead to it. The creator connects further building access with Doctor's Path progress at 08:12–08:35. This is a reason to check that connection, not to assume every present-day building has the same unlock path.

For a more focused walkthrough of this method, use the Sanctuary upgrade guide. A universal cost or unlock table is outside this beginner checklist.

04

Give waiting time a purpose before spending speed-ups

Before finishing a timer, ask what completing it would let you do next. If another unmet prerequisite would immediately stop you, the speed-up may not solve the problem you intended to solve.

The March video recommends doing available settlement activities while construction runs. Later, at 05:23–05:34, it recommends keeping construction occupied with a required development building or a resource building.

Apply that idea with a simple comparison: is there useful active play left, and is the current queue advancing the objective you chose? If both answers are yes, let them run together. If you have exhausted useful tasks, reassess the timer and the next requirement before using an item. This is a workflow for making the decision, not a claim that waiting is always better than accelerating.

The building order guide explores queue and resource choices separately.

05

Review survivors and the economy together

At 00:20–00:53, v1ne1c revises an earlier negative opinion of survivors after updates. He describes assignments affecting construction, research, troop training, and building performance, then discusses dispatching survivors through the Residence.

The practical takeaway is to revisit worker assignments when the relevant system becomes available or changes. An old recommendation to ignore a feature can become poor advice after an update.

Our economy check is deliberately small: identify the material your next objective needs, inspect its available collection or production options, and review any worker assignment associated with that activity. Do not upgrade every resource building simply to make their levels match. Tie the decision to the shortage you are trying to remove.

Survivor assignments and Survivor Tokens are separate questions. The sources used here do not establish the token's current spending interface or exchange rules.

06

Inspect the squad instead of chasing Might alone

At 04:20–04:32, the creator warns against treating total Might as a complete measure of combat strength and points to heroes, equipment, and skills.

Before spending on a stalled fight, inspect the squad you actually used. What job does each hero perform? Are your recent upgrades helping those jobs? What happened during the failed attempt? These are editorial diagnostic questions, not a verified damage formula or a promise that one upgrade will win the fight.

Keep the broad decisions separate. The heroes guide explains creator-described roles and factions. The team-building guide covers a dated beginner formation template. The hero progression guide addresses level, skill, and equipment choices. None requires treating a historical lineup as the current universal best team.

07

Choose an alliance for useful cooperation

At 09:04–09:42, v1ne1c discusses joining an active alliance for timer help and alliance chests. Later he compares alliances through the leaderboard. Those examples support looking for active cooperation rather than choosing a name solely because it appears powerful.

Our selection checklist is practical: check available places, whether members appear active, whether the alliance's expectations fit your play schedule, and whether help is available when you usually play. Be accurate about your experience if you contact leadership.

After joining, observe how assistance works in your client before building a routine around it. Do not assume that help will finish every timer or that a historical unlock level applies to your server. The alliance guide develops that decision process.

08

Use a short return-to-game routine

On your next visit, check completed processes, review the objective you were working toward, and inspect its remaining obstacle. Then choose one useful queue action and one available active task. Review workers or squad development when either is relevant to that obstacle.

As new systems appear, ask the same questions before copying a long checklist. Research deserves a separate comparison of benefits and prerequisites in the research guide; capacity, training, and promotion are separated in the troop training guide.

Progress becomes easier to understand when every expenditure has a stated purpose. The routine is successful when you can explain what your next action unlocks, rather than merely making a number increase.

Common questions

Before you continue

What should a beginner focus on first?

Identify the requirement blocking your next Sanctuary upgrade, then keep useful construction moving while completing available settlement tasks. Check the current requirements in your own client rather than following an assumed level table.

Should I spend speed-ups immediately?

First check whether ordinary tasks can occupy the waiting time and whether finishing the timer would actually unlock your next action. This follows a dated creator workflow, not a universal rule that speed-ups must always be saved.

Does higher Might guarantee a stronger squad?

No such guarantee is established. Creator v1ne1c distinguishes total Might from the strength contributed by hero development, equipment, and skills; inspect the relevant squad rather than choosing a fight from Might alone.

Does this guide provide an optimal first-day order?

No. It provides a prerequisite and queue checklist supported by official game descriptions and dated creator advice. Current unlock levels, costs, exact timers, and a universally optimal opening have not been verified.
